The Kavi Samelan (poets festival) at Assi, Banaras, on Holi, 1994, is not for the faint-hearted—especially if you can understand the Bhojpuri language. My video camera was seriously compromised by coloured powder flying through the air—responsible for some of the digital interference on the most troubled videos on this site.
