Amaan Hussain, (b.2004?) is the eldest son of Sarwar Hussain, the grandson of my dear teacher, the great Abdul Latif Khan, I have known Amaan since he was five in Bhopal, when he featured in one of my Growing into Music films. He is now impressively virtuosic as was his father when I first met him, aged 13, in Bhopal.Amaan has grown up in an extremely musical environment, receiving daily tuition from Sarwar Hussain and also living on the campus of the Sangit Research Academy in Kolkota where he has been exposed to a lot of diverse music. At the SRA he has been encouraged to perform from an early age. He is now an SRA "scholar" and has the rare (these days) opportunity  to do a lot of accompaniment of diverse vocal styles. A rising star, no doubt!

His brother Armaan is an up-and-coming young vocalist.
